2. In the case of the preceding paragraph, with regard to competence certification for a first class aircraft maintenance technician, second class aircraft maintenance technician and third class aircraft maintenance technician, when the class of aircraft to be used in a practical examination is a multi-engined terrestrial aeroplane, the classes of aircraft for which rating is established shall be multi- engined terrestrial aeroplane and single-engined terrestrial aeroplane, and when the class of aircraft to be used in a practical examination is a multi-engined aquatic aeroplane, the classes of aircraft for which rating is established shall be a multi- engined aquatic aeroplane and single-engined aquatic aeroplane, and when the class of aircraft to be used in a practical examination is a senior class glider, the classes of aircraft for which rating is established shall be a senior class glider and a middle class glider.

 

Article 54. Type ratings of aircraft under Article 25 paragraph 2 of the Law are established in accordance with the following classification of aircraft to be used for a practical examination.
(1)In the case of the qualification for a pilot, aircraft which requires two persons for pilotage in its design or the said aircraft when such aircraft type is designated by the Minister of Transport.
(2)In the case of qualification for flight engineer, the said aircraft.
(3)In the case of the qualification for a first, second and third class aircraft maintenance technicians, aircraft with maximum take-off weight of more than 15,000 kg. type of aircraft designated by the Minister of Transport or the said type for rotor craft.
